FOR ALL MY CLASSES AT CAAPO
I reminded all 8th graders that those turning in homework regularly (beginning after Jan 28th) would be elligble for the movie trip on the Thursday afternoon {date and movie TBA} Progress reports are NOW in and if your student has a D or lower, they ignored me (more than usual) when I invited them to save their grade!
OTHERWISE ..........Last week at school, we: PRE_ALGEBRA : finished off PROPORTIONS (including like fractions relating to proportions, percents, and probability) and began review sheets for solving equations. There WAS a homework assignment packet.
PHYSICS 8-- Began Motion with labs and wrapped up acids/bases & carbon chemistry with a quiz. Anyone who wanted to UP their grade from "below C-level" had invitation to do so.
LIFE 7 - Life science class stepped outside to view, pick and identify different plants and trees around our school. We went online and used web based keys to systematically find the specific types we see everyday. THIS NEXT WEEK we will be reviewing naming (Binomial Nomenclature) species and finishing the overview of plants, so we can progress into the animal kingdom and human body.
